Better men?

The believer lures the unbeliever to believe.

The non-believer lures the believer from belief.

Religious wars.

Yet a child sleeps hungry,

A terrorist maims and kills

A leader steals and corrupts

The kardashians strut naked

Cancer patients in pain

Youngboys sodomised

A man kills another,

Countries make atomic bombs.

Everybody fights; to prove himself, the better man.

  1. Hey
Thank you for taking the time to step on over to Love Relaished Ink. It’s wonderful to have your whimsical soul as a new companion on my long and winding road.
From what I have seen of your blog so far, I’ve no doubt you are already finding writing a totally engaging and personally fulfilling experience. I hope the pleasurable company of words will always flow and follow you as you flow following the flow of your flowing path flowing into the wide blue yonder, and flow onwards towards the adventures that follow the flow beyond that…
Best wishes. Take care always in all ways for always.
    Namaste

  2. Everyone tries to prove himself the better man. The buildup to that statement is delightful. The brevity is oddly satisfying, takes skill to pull that off. Proud of your writing Laureen.

  3. My two cents about the religious wars is that we are focusing too much on who or what one believes is right or wrong yet the are current issues that are directly and mightily affecting people are left unattended for. Also because the religious leaders are focusing on being treated like they are some gods yet they should be the ones serving the people. What is your take on Joel Osteen not opening the gates to his mega church in houston to help save them from the hurricane?

    1. Hey MyNjabulo. Thank you soo much for dropping your comment. It is true that we live in a world where people have become so intolerant towards each other…religion.
Politics..race and sexuality divide us..when there are bigger problems facing humanity.
On matters concerning Houston, it is saddening ..and my heart goes out to all people of Houston who have been affected by the flooding and to those who may have lost their lives. About Joel Osteen..i don’t think i am in a position to make a remark about it because i am not very informed on the matter, but i hope as a servant of God he can touch the lives of those people one way or the other 🙂
